We've had a great summer, what with all the drinking and all, but the time has come to put the shorts away and start thinking about freezing your ass off. Fortunately for us, we've found some great places to party this Winter. We had an awesome hurricane party at the Madeira Cafe, for example. The food there is incredibly good and the service top notch.
They have a great selection of beers and the bourbon chicken is obscenely good. Definitely check the place out, whether we're there or not. Of course, we'd love to have you show up when we are there!
Also, sadly, it's getting near the end of the season for the Down the Hatch experience. I understand they got quite an ass beating from Irene but, typical of Mike and the Hatch crew, they rebuilt and are partying as hard as ever. We're there this weekend on Friday so make an effort to party outside while you still can. Hope we see you there!

Well, the USA is another year older but just as pretty as ever. We had the great good luck to pull a gig at Down The Hatch on West Island on this holiday weekend and it was awesome. It's a beautiful place to play and we had a ton of family and friends there to buy us drinks.
It's such a great party there you should make sure you go and check it out, even if there's another band playing. Mike the manager doesn't hire crappy bands so no matter who's playing, the party's a cool mix of high energy in a totally chill atmosphere. Of course, come down and party when we're there (next Thursday) and you too can experience the high-energy fun and excitement of buying us drinks.

"Bruins win Stanley Cup."
There's a freakin' headline for you!
Here's another:
"Thousands mob Westport bowling lanes as Deja Vu prepares to perform."
Not too long ago, if you asked your average Joe hockey fan which of these two headlines was more likely to get into print, the surprising answer might have been: "Who the hell is Deja Vu?"
The question now is moot! The Bruins have kicked Canadian Ass and taken Canadian names and they can now share the coveted Stanley Cup for a while (Isn't that just bad hygiene?.... a whole hockey team sharing one cup?)
Meanwhile, the band are continuing their triumphant tour of the greater New Bedford area, mesmerizing audiences and building a massive following of devoted fans. Offers from all over the world of entertainment continue to pour in and the boys - Ricky, Joey, Davy and Scooter - are scheduled to play the Ed Sullivan show!
Hah. I should NOT write this stuff at the bar. Lemme try again.
We'll be at the Westport Bowling alley next Saturday, June 25th. Come early, bowl a while and then hit the bar to celebrate winning or wash away the humiliation of losing - either way you get to drink!
Also CHECK OUT OUR FACEBOOK PAGE (Search Deja Vu-band).
Anyway, nice work Bs!
Now let's see if the Pats can man-up this year.

This Friday we're at the Wave in Marion with Mark Grillo filling in on drums. Mark is an outstanding player and great guy so it will be fun. Mark is also gigging with us on the 11th at the 6th Bristol club.
We've played the Wave in the winter but this is the first time we've gigged there in the warm season so we're looking forward to it. Hope to see you there.

Well, it looks as though we've finally found a drummer who is emotionally crippled enough to work with us. We welcome the fantastic Scott Frost, a musician of enormous talent and drive. He'll be playing drums with Deja Vu - an incredible addition to the band. AND...since he doesn't drink, he can count our pay at the end of the night while we're in the alley getting sick. We've worked with Scott for many years and we're thankful that he doesn't hold any of that against us. It'll be a great change to finally have a grown-up in the band, Welcome Scooter!

Ok, so we haven't been updating the website much. We have, however, been rehearsing a lot. We took the Winter dead season and made good use of it by buying expensive, hi-octane German beer and practicing some new songs. All of our new stuff is from the '80s, so.... David Bowie, Prince, Fine Young Cannibals, etc.
We're kind of sick and tired of playing the same stuff over and over, so we figured people must be even sicker and tireder of listening to it.
And yes, Godammit, tireder is a word!
I'm sick and tired of people asking me that!
Sorry, sorry... this German beer really gets me going. I feel like I could conquer the world!
